Over the years, countless Christmas singers have asked us, over mall speakers or car radios, “What are you doing New Year’s, New Year’s Eve?” Whichever take on the classic carol you might love to hear at this time of year, don’t be caught without an answer! It is, after all, the last night this year to go out and do something.

2012 New Years Eve Channelside – 1:00 PM – 2:00 AM
The Channelside New Years Eve 2012 Celebration is the 9th Annual “Light Up Tampa Bay,” and it takes place in the heart of the bustling Channelside entertainment district. Join the excitement and enjoy live music, entertainment, dining, nightlife and, of course, Tampa’s biggest New Year’s Eve fireworks display. The “Spectacular Fireworks show will kickoff when the ball drops at midnight,” with live music and DJs playing in the courtyard all night, according to the website. The Channelside New Years Eve Celebration is both free and open to the public, although viewing of the Fireworks from the Wharf Area will be limited the first 3,000 people.
Ella’s New Years Eve Party w/ The Legendary Shack Shakers & Six Volt Rodeo at Ella’s Americana Folk Art Café - 7:30 PM – 2:00 AM
One of the staples of downtown Tampa, Ella’s and Brokenmold Entertainment invite you to spend your New Years Eve with us again! Like in previous years the evening will start off at 7:30 with a large dinner buffet, which will be available until 10:30, followed by a performance by The Legendary Shack Shakers. The Café will offer a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $48.50 and available for purchase (pick up only).

Tampa Bay New Years Eve 2011 at the Tampa Convention Center 8:00 PM
Countdown the end of 2011 and bring in 2012 with a bang. The Gala, sponsored by Juniper Productions in conjunction with the City of Tampa and the Tampa Riverwalk, will offer a giant balloon drop and live countdown at midnight, door prizes, Charity Casino, two drink tickets, Hors d’oeuvres and champagne toast at midnight for general admission ticket holders. Monte Carlo Bash and Burlesque Show at Club Skye – 8:00 PM – 3:00 AM. Ybor City hotspot Club Skye is ringing in the New Year in Tampa Monte Carlo style. Tampa radio station WiLD 94.1 will be broadcasting a live countdown to New Year’s and the club will offer a Complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Along with music and mayhem, there will be a balloon drop filled with cash prizes, concert tickets, and more! The Rooftop Eve in Hyde Park Village 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Hyde Park Village always puts on a glamorous event and this year is no exception, “a lavish New Year’s Eve affair atop the world, nestled in the heart of Hyde Park Village, Tampa, FL.” The upscale festivities will commence at 9 PM when rooftop valets will greet patrons at the corner of Swann and Dakota. Ever party at the Tampa Aquarium? This 21+ evening to ring in the New Year in Tampa with a splash. The event offers multiple food stations with a Taste of Florida, Mexico, and Asia, along with fantastic live music, complimentary food, beer wine, and a champagne toast.
