Tampa Hard Rock Café
Tampa Hard Rock Café and Casino has become a cornerstone of Tampa Florida attractions with great restaurants, shows and casino games. The entire Hard Rock empire was purchased in 2006 by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, making the Hard Rock in Tampa a particularly special location, right on the Seminole Indian Reservation on the outskirts of downtown Tampa.
Tampa’s Hard Rock Café is set up just like the Las Vegas version with restaurants to provide the start of your evening or just a break from the “ding ding ding” of the slot machines. No Hard Rock would be complete, of course, without the Hard Rock Café itself. This full service, American cuisine restaurant provides a mini version of the Hard Rock experience.
There is Rock N Roll memorabilia on the wall, psychedelic decorations and themed food choices and an AMAZING drink menu. The Café is a great place for a burger and some exotic beverages. Personally, we like the Veggie Leggie with a veg patty and Portobello mushroom.
If you’re out for date night, an anniversary or just want to make a great impression, the Council Oak at the Hard Rock Tampa will fit the bill. World class steaks, seafood and service in a classic atmosphere make this a wonderful reason to visit. Just make sure your pocketbook is prepared for the $25-$65 main course options.
Rock N Raw, the Sushi Joint at Tampa Hard Rock is another great, more casual dining option. It has a good reputation for turning out quality raw sushi options with a Vietnamese twist you’ll notice as soon as you open the menu. Prices are about $10/dish.
The Hard Rock Tampa Shows
The Hard Rock Casino doesn’t just serve great food and offer you the opportunity to gamble your evening away. There’s Las Vegas style nightlife 7 days per week! There is live entertainment Wednesdays to Sundays every week including Live DJ Mash-ups, the Hard Rock Girl Blackjack Pit, Happy Hour every day between 4 and 7PM. You can also find concerts like Great White, Soul Circus Cowboys and the very popular 80’s Flashback Night with the Spazmatics – a feast of rock n roll talent taking its place as a premium Tampa concert venue!
Hard Rock in Tampa Gambling
After a slight tussle between the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the State of Florida and the federal government, both Poker and Blackjack have found a home at the Tampa Hard Rock. In fact, the World Poker Tour is coming to Tampa December 2nd to the 11th. You’ll get to see all of your favorite players from TV and compete against them if you dare. Even without the special events, there are 50 poker tables going 24/7 every single day of the year.
There are also 93 table games including poker, blackjack and baccarat competing for your attention with 4100 slot machines. Yes, they do have nickel and penny slots. No, they do not regularly have $5 blackjack tables.
Finding and Navigating the Hard Rock Tampa
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is located at 5223 North Orient Rd in Tampa, very close to the Florida State Fairgrounds. The easiest way to find it is to take I-4 from downtown and get off on Exit 6. That will put you ¼ mile from the parking garage in the back of the Casino. You can also get there by getting off on Hillsborough Avenue from the East, that will lead you to the front and the open parking lot. Parking is almost always an issue, so if you’re there during prime hours you should consider taking advantage of the valet service at the front.
